I installed it as part of this promo, but I need to reformat my laptop. Does anyone know whether there are any T&C that if one uninstalls it within x days, miles would be forfeited?

This was not one of the subscription services that could cost you your miles.

In any case, the Toolbar is no longer working, and US sent everyone an email with instructions to uninstall. Reformat away!
