Was there much "cleanup" after prior years' closing? Experience?
...Such as miles or hits taking an extended time to show up after the earning period ended? Not just last year, but any. If so, specifics? For example: How far ahead of the end did you think you earned them? How long after the end did they take to show up? What vendors were ^? Which were not? What effort? Your success?
This is to help minimize my and others' end-game angst by offering something of a base line of expectations that newbies might use to calibrate. Could even relieve some of the present angst by distilling the justified from the overwrought. Thank you!

The main "problem" partner was DM Wireless last year (nobody got the hit until December), but they're not participating this year.
The main issues this year seem to be Skymall (many cancelled orders), OfficeMax (website issues; they claim to have fixed it but nobody is sure since they haven't posted miles yet), and Network Solutions (they're expected to start posting at the beginning of November, but no one is sure).

I did receive my order from SkyMall and from OM but neither of shown as hits yes. COntacted both and got the standard blah blah blah about 6-8 weeks to post and then they will investigate if not posted. I am at 25 if both of them hit so I did build in one "safety". Now im thinking I should do something else, quickly!

If I had known I could rent a car in Brisbane (Hertz weekend off-airport with Amex plt code) for the same price as the NetSol hit, I wouldn't have bothered with a slow-posting partner. Next year, I won't. I've been keeping track of who posts quickly and who doesn't.

DM Wireless was the main problem child

Looks more and more like some of the cleanup will be in court. The deeper I look into the missing "hits" the greater the vendor deception appears. The game is called - only the investigation continues.

Last year I had to contact DMCS because I counted 36 hits but did not receive the last 20,000 miles. It turned out the Choice Hotels points transfer did not come through as a transfer but appeared as a stay. As I had six other hotel stays, this was not counting as a hit. After contacting DMCS and getting the conversion to post properly I got my last 20,000 point bonus.
So yes, there was some clean up.

2010:
Sentry Insurance. Quote was 29 September, posted 3 December. I had to fight for it since some reps are reluctant to submit the miles for customers obtaining free quotes but not buying policies. Sentry Insurance free quotes counted last year, no requirement to purchase.
DM Wireless again a problem child. Emails and phone calls to sort out, posted in late November for me.
2009:
DM Wireless was a problem child. An October purchase took until December.
The rest of 2009 is a little tedious to sort because I made a number of purchases after Grand Slam - this was the winter of the 250% holiday shopping / Track-it-Back bonanza. When miles could be had for the low price of $0.0071.
2008: Some stragglers, took until December for final bonuses despite the promo running 1 July to 30 Sept. Did not really participate. Was a struggle anyway. Far fewer partners. Every second hotel stay and every second car rental was a hit. First 50 people to earn the 40K max also got gold status for a year. Somebody on FT made it but I somehow doubt they had 50 people hit that level. Was tough.

If you had to do some cleanup, did having documentation as to a legitimate hit - including activity date and otherwise meeting the rules - was Dividend Miles good about correcting errors? (Question is for anyone.) And thank you all who have commented.

Thank you!
I was just telling my boss today about how I still have a giant tin of Biscoff cookies from 2009 that were from the GS promo (but I couldn't remember why I would have purchased such a big tin for GS).
Now I remember it wasn't for GS at all, but for the holiday shopping promo. And it's bringing back fond memories of others buying multiple thousands of dollars worth of TiB stickers (which if memory serves were then donated to charity for a tax write-off).
Fun times those were...

Indeed, now I'm wondering how to "clean up" my 2 year old Biscoffs. There's so much butter in the damn things they're probably still fine, but since Biscoff doesn't see fit to post a real expiration date on them I have no idea.
Those chocolate covered ones are the best. I'd hate to throw them out if they're still good.
Hmmm, decisions, (tasty) decisions...
