I too can confirm that a non-funded SB account is a hit. Just got an email from US saying I've posted 11 hits....and this matches my unofficial spreadsheet total including SB!

Can anyone confirm getting a hit for an unfunded IRA account?
I think that setting up an IRA is my only option since I already have a SB individual account from last year, and I don't have any kids.

Can't figure out how to get miles for my minor son's account. I already did a SB account for myself (and got the 2500 miles). If I go through the motions of setting up a custodial account for a minor it looks like it wants my FF info.
Will he still get the bonus miles if I already have an SB account? Where do I put in his FF info?
Confused, but I really want this no-cost hit (and the bonus miles).

I opened and funded an IRA account. I have not seen the miles post yet. How long does it usually take to see them post? I read the other posts and it looks like these post on Tuesdays. I'll check tomorrow for them and if they post I'll cancel the order for a trade.

Meh. I opened an account on Wednesday - still no miles. Crossing fingers that this once-a-week sweep and post on Tuesday is holding true...
I had actually erased Sharebuilder from my GS tracker. I opened the account, saw initial reports that it wasn't counting as a hit, and made plans to find another hit. Obviously I'll be thrilled if it does indeed count. Those incremental backup hits above #36 are the expensive ones for me...
