Nice detective work on the Hilton thing. If you think about it, it makes sense. The 850 number was probably picked by the people who created the promo or who are in partner relations specifically to deal with Hilton. They clearly wanted a number that would be high enough to avoid the one spg point transfers by spg plats. The likely had a number around 1,000 in mind, but then revised it down to 850 to permit Hilton transfers, because a requirement above 850 would require 20k Hilton. In other words the 850 number can't be random. It had to be to accomodate 10k Hilton transfers.
But the IT guys would have little reason to know all this history and probably had no idea of the significant difference between 850 and 851 miles so probably weren't paying much attention when they wrote code requiring greater than instead of greater than or equal to 850.

She did. She said, "I'm going to read off to you the hits that US Airways has, and you tell me if you find the discrepancy." The first item she read was "2 hotel transfers". I told her that was it - I should have had four. She told me Marriott and Hyatt were the only two she had posted as hits. Once we figured out I was missing SPG and Hilton, I asked her to read off the other hits she had just to make sure. She did, and the rest were all correct. She was very helpful - I hope others have the same experience if they call.

My Grand Slam Scorecard that I got sent yesterday said as of 9/29 I only had 8 hits. Any ideas to which one could not be counting as a hit? Some are easy to do again (USMC, ThanksAgain, Points.com) but some of the conversions would be pretty expensive to take care of again as I really only stay at Hilton and Marriotts now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

As the last few posts in http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/2011-...ts-so-far.html make clear, US screwed up in crediting hotel transfers that generated exactly 850 miles. (It appears the programmers coded the sweep to credit only transfers of 851+ miles.) It's your Hilton transfer, and US will undoubtedly fix this for everybody.

Hmm....
I did four hits on 9/15-9/16 (points.com, magazines, thanks again, and downloaded toolbar/ 3+ searches). So far only two things have shown up for me, as you can see below (the points.com swap and subtracting the miles for the magazine).
My other hits were late in September, so I don't expect them to show, but 9/15 - 9/16 ones should've shown up by now, right?

Thanks Again should have posted fairly quickly, both to your TA account & then to US. (Have you checked both?) Lack of crediting is usually evidence of user error, such as using a credit card not registered with TA. The good news is that TA is pretty forgiving, and CS fairly responsive. If you went the usual route (buying a restaurant.com cert), email TA with the details (date/amount/cert #) and they will in all likelihood post a manual credit for you.

I have not yet gotten the e-mail, but I'm loving the way this promotion is going so far.
That said, would it be that hard for US to list in the e-mail (or on the website) which items you got hit for?
Still a big thumbs up from me, I'm shocked how better run this is than some other promos I've been involved in.

No, your hits did not all disappear overnight. It's October 1, and the US system default is to show miles posted only in the current month. If you adjust the date range (and then click "Filter changes"), you'll see your hits.

Just to clarify, using the online merchants thru TA does *not* require you to use a CC registered with TA. You only need to use a CC registered with TA if using their offline merchants (airport vendors, dry cleaners, etc.).

I used link from U.S. Airways for Thanksagain for Itunes on 9/19/11 and again on 9/26/11 for Restaurant.com...I never received posted points on my Mileage account. Help with a possible foul... what to do?
So I have what should count as 8 hits credited to my account currently. Only, I received the 3k bonus and not the 10k bonus for 8 hits. Here is my history and I hope that someone can tell me which one is the foul, and if not what I should do to fix it.
