Bargaining yourself into other programs with elite status
I've recently reached silver status on United, after years of flying UA, LH and LX. I think I'm soon going to be unfaithful to *A and fly British to Europe. I have no mileage card on the One World alliance yet. Is there any way to get into one of their programs and bargain oneself directly into elite status (I guess it will be "ruby") there?

Welcome to FT, Passacaglia!
Some airlines will match status, some will offer a "challenge", and some won't match, or will only match certain levels. I recommend you search the BA forum for information on their status match program if they have one. |
Welcome to FT!, Passacaglia
Best to go to the fourm of the airline you are thinking about or read through http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...er-thread.html BTW, in United-land, we call "silver", Premier or 2P |
Passacaglia, welcome, as well, to FlyerTalk. As your Q. has been answered and the answer is not related to the United forum, I'll close this thread and invite you to inquire in the FlyerTalk forum of the program in which you seek a match. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator.
