Int'l 767s and 777s have in-seat video in Y, 744 has big screens a la 1970s style.

Unfortunately, since it is such a short flight, you will probably only be able to watch Airshow and the one channel of NBC inflight.

I am getting ready for a 763 flight IAD - LHR in E+. SeatGuru shows row 16 as being an exceptional row and conveniently on my flight nobody has booked here. In fact, they have booked the "avoid at all costs" row 15. Any thoughts here. Is SeatGuru outdated, should I slide back comfortably into the middle of the E+ or grab these open "green" seats? Oh and no chance of an upgrade here as I purchased a sale fare (S Ticket).

Business Class on 767s
I am going to be flying LAX to Den on a UA 767 and wanted to know what type of seats I can expect. Are they like what is on a 3 cabin 777 or like a 2 cabin 757 or something different?
Thx

There are 3 cabin 767's and 2 cabin ones.
The 2 cabin F class is like the seat on a 2 cabin 757, the 3 cabin is like the C class seats on a 777. In all cases, the 767 seats are slightly narrower.

This is supposed to be a 3 cabin 767 so I will assume they are like the business class on the 777 correct?

Yes, the 767 C seats are one inch narrower than the 777/747 seats. It's not a big deal if you're an average-sized person

How are the new seats in biz going to effect the advice in this thread?
I am flying IAD-GIG on a 763 in C,booked 5 C&D for a friend and I-best choice?
Will these be the new seats?
Thanks in advance.

There's no way to know yet. We know what the saets will look like, but not how they'll be arrayed or what other cabin changes might be made. I also suspect the South American routes will be the last to see any changes.

First installs aren't scheduled until 4th Q 2007. No information on the web site or the employee FAQ that's floating around about which routes will go first, although the 763's are supposed to be first. One interesting note in the FAQ: UA is planning to only book 'common seats' during the rollout to prevent excessive numbers of downgrades if a plane with the new seats is swapped in. Which means that the inventory of Y-C upgrades prior to day-of-travel will certainly drop but upgrades at the gate should increase on aircraft with the old configs. Time to study the mechanics of the upgrade priority list again!

767-300 First class
I have flown the 777 internationally in first class and it was a wonderful experience. Can anyone advise is the 767-300 is as nice? Is it the same seats, etc?

Currently the 763 uses UA's "old" style F seats (non-pod style). However at the end of Oct 2007 UA will begin a refit of their F & C cabins and then all of their widebodies will have the same style seats in F & C.
I think they are projecting completion of the refit in late 2009.
