Discrepancy b/w UAL.com (1p) and UA’s system at airport (2p)

Last year I was comp'd PremEx from my AA EXP status but only made 32 segments so I was told that I would be made Premier this year. Sometime in the middle of Feb I received my Premier card but ual.com listed my status as PremEx. Now in March my status on ual.com dropped to Premier but my tickets are still printed out with PremEx. Anyone know why this is and for how long I might expect it to continue?

Edited for ignorance. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I'm confused. I believe you are possibly using the wrong terminology. 1P = Premier Executive and 2P = Premier. 1P is a higher status level than 2P. Is this what you meant?

Glitch in the system. It remembers your status at the time the reservation is made. In your case, it helps you.

In reverse (booked when one status and then qualify for a higher status later before the flight), it can be harmful. In this later case, ask them to clear your Mileage Plus number from the record and reenter it. The system will then show your current status.

In your case, you obviously would not want to reenter your Mileage Plus number.

This situation will continue for all your reservations you made before March 1. As Always Flyin pointed out, it's a quirk in the system that you can take advantage of.

Even though you're a Premier as of March 1, your reservation was made while you were a Premier Executive. Therefore, you will be treated as a Premier Executive for this trip, and any others you may have booked before your status changed on March 1.
