SMF security check lines. Break left.
 

If you are flying out of SMF in the morning
stay in the line to the left. After what
looks like a briefing they open another
machine which means two machines for one
line. All persons removing shoes.

I went through the same line last week for the early morning departure to ORD. Although everything was backed up down the stairs, they didn't open up that third scanner. I'm off to DEN this week; hopefully they'll be using the #3 scanner and keep the line down.

Incidentally I noticed just about everybody taking off their shoes for the x-ray last week too. Since nobody actually told me to take off my shoes, I walked through with 'em on. Nobody said boo.

Exactly! This has happened to me not once, but 3 times! Between that and not plugging the metal detectors in the wall ... jeeezzz.
