It's all up to the FAA.

Typically the FAA does it within seven days if all goes well.

777- 2a looks like a bump

This is only for int'l flights.

So you will be fine flying on the 747. enjoy your flight and 2A

Will be flying with my wife to SFO-LHR in October on a 777 I am in 2a and my wife is in 1a ( we both like to look out the window) looks like I will be bumped: 1J is taken so We cannot be on the same side of the AC. Should I take just grab 2J while it is open or do you really think UA can finish the 777 (SFO-LHR) by early October???

( We have flown the new UA first on the 747 and find the seats great, much better than the old seats and almost as good as the CX first seats. Too bad the pilots still have to take up a space in the smaller new F cabin when UA built a crew rest station forward of 1A and a lower crew pod. AND the first seats the pilots take are THE Best F seats. Why not place them and the curtain in the center seats, and leave the good seats for the PAYING customers?)

@UnitedAirlines has just posted a retweet saying "First 777 with new three-class interior certified yesterday. Work done at SFO."

Great.

Now we get endless speculation on which routes the next aircraft will be on and when they should roll out......

Why did the news come from @flightblogger and not @UnitedAirlines? Shouldn't @UnitedAirlines know first?

Smile Any Chance for a 77Q on UA 977 on 4/28

I am unclear as to how many 777s have been refurbished and now certified to date ? Any chance one of these "fresh birds" might be used on UA 977 DXB-IAD on 4/28/2010 ??

Going from the drawing board to the actual plane isn't always a 100% accurate transformation. The STC process could have mandated changes.

I'm not sure the UnitedAirlines twitter presence knows how to tweet anything other than reminders to use Easy Check-in.

No chance. One plane is done and *may* have its first scheduled flight this week. From reports on here including unofficial reports from UA employees..this first plane will make some domestic flights first then typically fly SFO-LHR-DEN-SFO for awhile.
