As I have stated before, I wish that UA would just update the suitedreams site to say something other than "B777-200 seatmaps coming Fall 2009!!!" Clearly Fall 2009 has come and gone! Perhaps UA could also show that 1 777 is in the shop undergoing the upgrade....

Keeping fingers crossed. I know it's a long shot but I'm in C on a 777 flying KIX to SFO in early April.
From some previous posts I also was also told by 2 different SFO based INTL pursers on my flights last week that the initial route will be SFO-LHR-DEN-SFO

Glad you took it in the spirit intended.

It's actually 47C not 74C.

I've booked my parents on Sept. 16 flying SFO-NRT in old C on a 777. Anyone care to handicap their chances of finding themselves in a new C configuration by then?

By September they should have around 4-5 aircraft done, however, it's hard to predict if all of them will be ER's or if they will also start converting the XC's as well. I would say the chances are pretty slim.

I'm flying that route July 29. I'm praying for a miracle. I'll let you know how it goes!

Like the pilots the FA's also got the new IPTE 777 AC pages for their FAOM ( In Flight Manual). In our April bid packet it states that the training is mandatory all line holders scheduled to fly the 777 XQ( replaces the XP) and all reserves for the month of April based in IAD,SFO,ORD,LAX,DEN, FRA & LHR must also complete the training by April 1st. The aircraft is expected to be routed between SFO and LHR and DEN.

So I would expect to see the AC on SFO-LHR-DEN-LHR-SFO and maybe a few SFO-DEN for check ups. Which would explain why RSV at ORD, IAD, LAX would have to also have the training done as they could have the SFO-DEN leg as apart of their ID.

As mentioned earlier, many times, the current slate for the aircraft is

SFO-LHR-DEN-SFO

after it's completed some domestic runs.

So Aluminium Tubing's hypothesis is almost correct!

which would be a 2 day (weekdays) cycle :

SFO 13:03 UA954 LHR 07:30+1 13:05+1 UA939 DEN 15:55+1 1844+1 UA595 SFO 2024+1

including a long overnight in SFO every 2 days.

Fingers firmly crossed for the new config on my already-upgraded IAD-SFO in June! (Knock on wood, I presume those already upgraded wouldn't get booted from the presumably smaller C cabin, unless there are that many paid C pax. )

You might want to say when you're travelling. If it's 2 years from now I'd say you have a decent chance
