Nominating a 3P?
 

I nominated the Mrs to 3P two days ago and it is still not showing up on-line. She has some flights next week and would love to get her better seats in E+. Any thoughts on how long the status change takes with Elite Choice?

I was able to confirm with CR-1 one-way and the other is waitlisted. There is XF inventory, but not NF inventory and the flight is showing 9s across the board. Does UA convert XF to NF? Is there a way to call and ask that or are they locked in?

IME it can take up to 10 days to filter down the system.

Could be up to two weeks to percolate through all the various systems at UA. You should call - just because it's not online doesn't mean it's not aready available in the reservations system.

Inventory is fluid. IM (Inventory Management) is like the Illuminati - there's always lots of conjecture and people who claim to have them figured out, but they will never reveal their secrets.

On the U/G, the CR-1 should process before all of the e500's correct? I think that is the correct answer, so maybe at 5 days out it'll open up.

Not necessarily. Before the DM list, the CR-1 should be ahead of all the e-500s, but once it hits the DM list, the upgrade currency doesn't matter.

The Upgrade process is complex, and a different thread can answer that question. In a nutshell, upgrades clear on a FIFO basis until ~4 hours before flight time status makes the difference.

Unless they are 1K's e500's that were applied before the CR-1.

I think I'm correct in that she carries my status (1K) onto the DM list?

Absolutely not. She will be on the Priority List (because of the CR1) before DM and clear FIFO, but on DM, it's status (actual passenger's status) first.

A lot of flights go out with empty F seats, so there is always a chance. Which flight is it anyway?

SBN-ORD-SFO. Obviously I need to tell her to turn down the SBN-ORD if the ORD-SFO (UA 153) hasn't cleared yet. Don't feel like wasting a CR-1 for an 84 mile flight.

Not applicable to what, this specific thread? So what. Your post would have mislead people to think that CR-1s clear before e500's no matter what.

I posted in this specific thread about this specific thread. When someone asks a question, I like to answer that question and not something that's totally irrelevant.
