Comps

I was wondering if any could let me know if United would Comp to an Elite status based on the fact I have Contimetal PLatinum? I am doing an around the world with United next week so this is kind of important to me

I believe they will comp you... but not to their top level.

However, I would be very surprised if it would happen by next week.

Yes! I am Platinum on AA (71k miles so far this year) and got comped to Premier Executive until Feb 2003. The status changed in a few days in my online Mileage Plus account. About a week later I got an email confirming the comp. Card is supposed to arrive in about 4 weeks.
