UNITED AIRLINES INTRODUCES NEW BUSINESS FARES
OFFERING DISCOUNTS OF UP TO 50%

United Airlines today announced two new "Back to Business" fare options for business travelers who are able to book in advance of their travel. These new fares offer significant price savings and do not require a Saturday night stay.

The new low fare options are available today and apply for travel through December 31, 2001. United is offering a new fare option which is priced at 50% off the current
unrestricted business fare; this new fare requires a 21-day advance purchase and a one or two night minimum stay. A similar fare with up to a 25% off discount is also available with a 10-day advance purchase.

"In response to customer needs, United is now offering more choice and flexibility when traveling for business," said Patricia Mash, vice-president of revenue management for United. "These fares are designed to help America get back to business."
