Booking class question

Question: I managed to get the FC fare from TPA to ONT for $600 (now gone) as detailed on the mileage run board of this site. Found another one for $600 from JAX to SFO (or in reverse). When I checked it out it had gone up to $1,100 - just couldn't find the $600. So decide to go for the $1,100 fare and book for a triple mileage run.

Q1: It is in "Booking class: A", but just noticed that it is in "Fare basis code: HAUPMY", so is it eligible for the triple mileage promo?

Q2: The first booking I did didn't have any "A" fares left, so it booked into economy. Would I get any preference over other 1K's when it came to time to clear? (I didn't take this and picked new dates since I'm only a 1K and getting a transcon to clear is almost impossible).

Note: I managed to book UA134 (SFO->ORD), which appears to be a three class plane and although I expected to be booked into Business, it booked into First!!

It's a first class fare (an H-UP) so you should get the 3x EQM bonus. Since you've paid for a first class fare, you'll be eligible for FFCC and will have the highest priority for a first class seat in only economy seats are currently available.

Check the website (or ExpertFlyer, etc), early & often to see if any 'A' space opens up (assuming A=0 on the leg you are in Y). It can go non-zero anytime; IM controls this. When it does, call, and get moved up. I've done this myself.
