This thread certainly went downhill and off-topic in a hurry. Pity. It started out so nicely.

McDonald's food being served at the UA IFL at NRT during Snow-kyo in January, 2006.

[I flew through NRT the other day and Ms. Toko and I remembered this with fondness...]

I'm not going to try and monopolise this thread ...

A UA747 coming into land at SFO... I was in row 61B on a sister aircraft...

This reminds me of the good ol' days when 747's were a common sight at DEN. *sigh*

Cell Phone Dude

Heffa presents: Mr. 11B on yesterday's (3/29) late IAD-SFO flight. He kind of hid every time the FAs went past him, but after awhile the pressure from his surrounding seat mates were too noticeably when approaching the runway on taxi.

Mr. 11B talking on his cell during the safety presentation after pushback from gate.

Mr. 11B checking mail and messages seconds after the captain announced "We're number 1 for take off".

Wonder when the day will come, when this will be the standard...?

I've seen that a few times and it does actually make a noticeable positive difference.

Just a UA 747-400 pushing back at NRT for a flight to ORD. Yes, I did play with the saturation just a tiny bit.

The A-380 is a treat, but for me, the old queen of the skies still has an undeniable presence.
