MP Dining Program
Can I enroll the same credit card in the MP Dining Program and the dining program from AAnother AAirline without causing any problems? In other words, will I get miles on both airlines if I eat at a restaurant eligible for both MP and AAdvantage dining programs.
|
If you try it, you'll get an error message, assuming both airline dining programs are run by the same umbrella outfit - the error message will say "your card is registered with another dining program" or somesuch. So the answer is likely no, and you'll probably get stopped while trying to enroll the card at the website.

The only way to get credit in two programs is to split the bill and pay with multiple credit cards.

But if you are trying to increase your number of dines, this will help. |
Since one must eat at participating establishments and there aren't that many of much interest to me around here, this iDine thing hasn't been a big deal for me. It did prove worthwhile recently, when US advised that if there was no activity in my DM account soon, I would lose the miles (50,099) in the account. To my pleasant surprise, it was possible to quickly register another credit card with the program, order some take out from a local Thai restaurant, and see the resulting miles in my DM account very soon thereafter. (A matter of days, didn't have to wait for either a new credit card statement or DM one to cut.) This ability to register, spend, and be credited the miles so easily and so quickly was a most pleasant surprise to me.
re iDine - anyone have really excellent participating restaurants around them, or only OK, mid or low-end places? |

We've found a couple, but they are few and far between.
