No Obento On Menu NRT-SIN?
I recently flew NRT-SIN in C class and all three meals were non-Japanese - I believe all of them were Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore creations - is this unusual?

Traditional Japanese Obento meal on flights between the United States and Japan, and between Hong Kong and Japan |
tedhl,
Thanks for your info - actually UA837 NRT-HKG on June 13 (I'm on this flight, delayed 3 hours due to aircraft servicing... I am back in the NRT RCC awaiting further news!) does not have Obento meals either. *HighFlyah* |

Can you do it as a special order ahead of time?

If you really have your heart set on the Obento, order it ahead of time. On my flights in late May, I heard FAs saying they only board 2 Obento beyond the ones that have pre-ordered. Contrast that with CX NRT-HKG, where there were seemingly enough for everyone who wanted one.

You can order the Obento meal as a special meal by 24 hour prior to the departure time. I ordered it actually last week on the phone, and the 1k desk rep accepted the order.
For example, the Obento meal on a NRT-BKK flight was the same as one on a NRT-SFO flight. ------------------ |
