"Extra" MP Bonus Miles??
 

I recently checked my UAL Milage Plus Account Summary, saw several lines in the statement along these lines:

6-Apr-01 UA 0150 Y Class SFO to ORD 1846 4346 6192

Meaning that flown miles were 1846, Bonus Miles were 4346, and total for that leg were 6192. I don't get it, I seem to be getting MORE than the 100% PremExec bonus... any ideas?? I also got a 3000 mile bonus on a 500 mile flown leg on Sh!ttle from Vegas to SFO...

Was there another promo going on I didn't know about?

They had a targeted promotion where if you flew 2 full fare flights you got 5000 bonus miles. 2 more you got 10,000 bonus miles. There is a thread about it somewhere, but I could not find it.

There appear to be a lot of these odd "extra" bonus miles showing up -- I recently got 3500 bonus miles that I cannot account for. I assumed that there were secret promotions going on for which I was unwittingly subscribed..but in any case I'm certainly not going to call and complain about the "mistake."

Not only have they added miles to my recent flights, they've gone back and double-entered MP Shopping miles and others, as far back as 1999! Something like an extra 40k miles just showed up in my account over the last week. Strange, but I'm certainly not complaining!

(And yes, the specific details within this message have been changed to protect the innocent... innocent miles.)
