For those that received this offer, does the double miles apply to all UA flights incl international, or is it perchance limited to NA.

I hate these targeted offers.... it seems like only those who flew less get the offer, so I that flew a lot dont get it... thats fuzzy logic in my dictionary.

"Fuzzy Marketing". And some who got it above do not seem to be just casual flyers, that's the weird part of their logic.

As yet another example of the 'targeted' nature of this promotion, my required 1st quater miles are 10,550. Must be based on my travel during early 2000 (which was down a bit).

Mine was 11,000 from 1/15-3/31.

I live in Denver, and unfortunately did not get this offer. The reason for my earlier question is that I have a trip to HKG and SIN coming up in May and the triple miles would have been great.

I believe that this promotion might be offered to a lot of members who do not fly long haul international routes that often. It would be harder to fly 10,000 miles in 2 months for people who fly on short flights. One flight from Asia to the East coast is already close to 10,000 miles, and it might be better for UAL to direct this promotion to members who don't fly that often or only on shorthaul flights.

And mine came today (although the letter was dated 1/2/01).... My offer was for double miles for the same time period as the rest of you but for only 3120 miles to be flown... I'd love to know the formula that UA is using to calculate these targeted promo's. (At the beginning of 2000 I had no status; 2P by September, and 1P on 12/29. On segments, not miles).
