"United Airlines (UAL: news, msgs, alerts) passengers could lose some amenities as the carrier tries to cut spending. In a letter obtained by www.AviationNow.com, UAL corporate officials say they will drop several food items from flights, including grapefruit juice and McDonald's Friendly Skies meals, plus some menu options. Also, United will no longer provide fliers with hot towels and will stop dressing first class with table linens on short flights."
