"A Service we Call Bob"

A minor point, but, hey, what minor point ever fails to reach the UA forum?

Was flying LAX - HNL on last Wednesday, when the purser, blathering on in her post-takeoff announcements, informed the cabin that there was a service, that "at United [they] call Bob."

Of course, it meant Buy on Board, but I had never heard a flight attendant pronounce it as if it was some guy's name.

Ted's long lost brother, perhaps? Are they doing what they can to keep him alive? :D:D:D

Bob and Ted are not on speaking terms.

Ted has been booted out of the house. Bob is here to stay.

Bob drinks his sodas straight from the can.

Bob likes to stow his bag in the overhead bin in F when he's riding in the back of bus.

He also likes to use the F lav.

Bob is not primarily there for my safety nor health.

Bob? I shall call him mini-meal.

Well, the old mini-meal, bob has declined with age.

Bob is taking over Ted and Uni. There's been some discussion that he's taking over the world and moving up in status.

All hail Bob.

Do Carol and Alice know?

UAPremierGuy Jan 19, 2009 1:56 am

Bob, being the early-riser that he is, only flies on flights departing prior to 8pm. He also greatly appreciates exact change. Sometimes, there are 4 Bobs on one flight, but usually, there's only 1 or 2. Sometimes Bob is Fresh, but usually his goods are packaged...on that note...

mauiUAflyer Jan 19, 2009 2:18 am

BOB appreciates the correct change.

You're kinda dating yourself but I'd been struck by the same thought. ;)

Bob's favorite entertainment is short subjects and NBC In Flight.

Bob likes snacks high in sodium, calories and fat.
