International F lounge - Guests allowed?

Im a 1K that will be flying international F and would like to invite 1 or 2 guests to join me in the lounge for some drinks.

Does anybody know the rules, or have any tips on how to go by doing this ??

(I could also go to a RCC, but is there one in JFK?)

F lounge = no guests at all

If you are travelling in international First, you can bring one guest to the Red Carpet Club.

Acutally, there are two - one in the original UA terminal (which is where all the Int'l flights go out of), and one in the terminal next door that handles the LAX/SFO flights.

Both are fine, and the Int'l F class lounge is quite nice as well.

I've never had a problem with bringing a guest into the international F lounges in either Los Angeles or Tokyo. I've never tried to bring in more than 1 so I don't know how they would handle that.

I myself have both brought a guest and been a guest in a couple of F lounges.

The International F lounge is actually inside of the RCC in JFK. The same reception controls both lounges. Just ask at the reception to see if that is possible, if not, you can just go to the RCC.

Thanks for all the info. I will give it a try and see if it works. By the way, I will be at this lounge on Oct 27th, from 0700-1200. Anyone like to join ??

showing my First class UA boarding pass, UA always allowed me to bring in two guests (my experience 1998 - 2000 in FRA, IAD, ORD, SFO), sometimes even when 'only' arriving.

I'm 3 successes for 3 tries in bringing in one guest to the intl F lounges in NRT(we confused them, I think), SYD, and LAX. Definately give it a try.

Something I have never thought on. If someone has an NC (not XC) It'l ticket but NO Elite status on UA or * can they use the RCC at point of departure if ticket is to another UA It'l destination, or to the USA from It'l? i.e. if you gave your parents upgraded C tickets, will they be able to use the lounge before flying out? Be a less than "big event" gift if they were denied lounge use as they were not Elites. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

(I am basing this scenario on the pax travelling NOT being accompanied by an Elite, who would I think generally get entry for any accompanying guest).

Yes and Yes.

Gaucho100K Oct 25, 2000 1:32 pm

Well, Im definetely going to try to get guests into the lounge... I will let you all know how it goes !!

ozstamps Oct 25, 2000 9:52 pm

OK .. got it - NC It'l ticket alone allows RCC use on departure day.

Are those above SURE? A neighbour of mine used points to upgrade, and they would NOT allow RCC access.
