OP's title caused a brief heart murmur in me, and I've never even been to NRT. I.e. for me and and I'm sure many others, I came here to read about cancellation of the SEA/NRT route. Mods: please re-title this thread.

Whew!

UA 891 LAX - NRT Cancelled on 10/8 due to problem with cargo door

Flight has been canceled due to problem with cargo door. Everybody was deplaned and there is total chaos. Finally get my father to try out United in C and of course this happens.

Not a good week for 891 this week. Three days ago, the plane took off but had to make an emergency landing back at LAX few minutes later. The flight was eventually cancelled.

Based on the times I've seen the 777 go MX it's been associated with the cargo door. Is there a part prone to failure on the cargo doors of the T7's?

Iceman senior was once delayed several hours on a transpac flight to NRT. They ended up holding the NRT-TPE flight for him and I'm guessing many others, so YMMV. I was disappointed too cuz I wanted some vouchers!

Speaking of which should he expect a voucher for a 3:30 MX delay?

UA908 ORD-AMS diverted to BRU10/9-10

Left ORD thinking we'd be 45 minutes early. Got close to AMS and heard the dreaded "we're going to land in BRU" message - delays and low fuel.

Well - something more happened on the ground at BRU, since we got to be serviced by a Delta mechanic, and then had to wait fir a lengthy period while paperwork was completed and pictures taken. I'm guessing the somehow the plane got damaged while refueling, and Delta was called in the do a repair, with the pictures being evidence of the repair.

UA 837 stop in Alaska? Why

Any info on why the stop? I was waiting for business partner arrival and was checking it online, and saw scheduled stop in ANC?
