e-ticket class?

I have a couple of e-tickets that I bought on the web site. They are for travel during the double miles/Olympics period. How can I find out what class they are,(Y,B,W,etc.) in order to see if they qualify? I don't see this when I look at my "past itineraries". It just says "coach".

If you go on-line to your UA Milegae Plus history, the booking classes of last year's flights all show, (but only if not upgraded,) and will show the UA fare issue class methinks.

These are future flights that are e-ticketed during the UA Olympic promo. Between 7/1 and the end of the Olympics.
I Can't find the fare codes via the website.

Mine show only F, Y, and K.

I believe they are all W fares.

You can call reservations and ask. Just give them the record locator number for your itinerary or the flight number and date and your name. They will be more than happy to answer your question.

Usually E-fares are W, mileage plus only shows F,C,K,Y. Does anyone know the difference between Y and K?

Baze Jun 29, 2000 9:09 am

I think if you read braslvr's post again it says e-ticket not e-fare. There is a huge difference.

On the statements, K is anything in coach that is not Y.

On the web site, under past itineraries, select each listing which opens a new window. There is a button for "printable e-receipt" which opens yet another window with a receipt, complete with fare code.

QuietLion Jun 29, 2000 11:59 am

Ah, correct. E-tickets can be any fare and the way to find out is to either view the e-ticket receipt or call United and ask.

Thanks Indurain!

That's what I was looking for. I didn't think to click the button because I thought that window WAS the printable receipt.

BTW, all "Q" fares, so no double miles for me on those flights http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
