Donating Mileage Plus Miles to The Rotary Foundation

Do you have bunch of miles, which you do not know how to spend? Or miles just about to expire? Or do you want to do something good for humanity?

Your donated miles will be used for ticket for The Rotary Foundation Volunteers who are professionals travelling to undeveloped countries to practice their profession free of charges for the people who need their services.

"The Rotary Foundation Volunteers program is administered through the World headquarters of Rotary International and provides opportunities for Rotarians and other skilled professionals to offer their services and expertise to projects sponsored by their own Rotary club or district or to international projects requiring volunteers and expertise from abroad. This program strives to help those areas of the world that require assistance to raise their basic standard of living. Generally, the volunteers assist in areas of health care, agricultural productivity, sanitation, disease eradication, commerce and technology. The Rotary Foundation Volunteers Program provides grant recipients with a round-trip ticket and partial subsidy to help cover expenses for their time of international service."

* Dentists and doctors from around the world have served at Rotary-sponsored medical and dental clinics in Brazil, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Jamaica, Kenya, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

* An engineer and surveyor from Belgium made three trips to India to help construct a primary school and dispensary in an area where there are no roads and no doctors.

* Teams of Australian volunteers joined Filipino Rotarians in building more than 30 schools, libraries, and other community buildings and providing disaster relief after a volcanic eruption and a typhoon.

* A farmer from the United States received a grant for his service at a project in Paraguay, which involved planting vegetable gardens near schools and assisting farmers in order to improve food quality and increase the income of poor families.
