Requalifying for 1K a few months late
G'day folks,
Right now I'm 1K, but will only qualify for 1P by the end of the year.
Too much flying on award tickets
Thinking about 2009, If I reach the 100,000 EQM's and 1K status by the end of April, will United issue me my 6 SWU's for 2009 when I hit 1K?
Or do I miss out on SWU's for 2009?
Cheers & Happy Election Day!!
Greg

Fair enough. You will, then, retain your 1K status until February 28, 2009.
Nice that you were able to do that before the award increases went into place
Nope. I have assumed that you mean going from zero to 100K EQM's between January 1, 2009 and April 2009 b/c you will NOT add up any EQM's earned in 2008 to your flying in 1Q 2009.
NO, you don't "miss out" at all. You will get them when everyone else who qualifies for 2009 status does: In January of 2010 - unless UA offers and you accept early deposit in perhaps October 2009.
Best, Dave
