United Connection

I had United Connection on my computer, but I had to reformat my hard drive and forgot to copy it to a disk.

I went to United's website to try to find the site to download it, but I couldn't find it. Can somebody help me out?!

Thanks,
BizJet

Sadly, I don't think it's there anymore. See QuietLion's post under:

Too bad. I was trying to find a replacement for my US Priority TravelWorks that was also discontinued.

Thanks, though, Premex.

Call United Connection's Technical Support at (800) 4UA-CNXN
(800) 482-2696

They are open 6AM to 1AM Central Time.

Ask them to send you another copy of the version 3.0 to install, or what the website is for downloading it sirectly off the Internet. Good luck!

Sorry CraigForrester, but as has been reported here on FlyerTalk for some time: United stopped distribution of the software version back in January. There was a "hidden" United site that was left out there where you could still download the program, but United had it removed about 2 months ago...right after a story about this appeared in the Wall Street Journel that revealed the site URL that was obtained here on FlyerTalk. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

I called the number today that CraigForrester posted above, and they said the only place they knew of that you could download the program was www.download.com and enter "United Connection" in the Search feature. But they mentioned that this is the older v2.1 only, and that United Airlines does not guarantee the performance or security of this download!

So, there is no way to get United Connection Software from United anymore. You must borrow a disk from someone who has it.

Also asked if they are going to be around after the first of the year, and was told they haven't been officially told anything.

For those that want to download United Connection 3.0, I have put a web page on my site so you can download it. Go to:
http://www.baze.com/ucweb.html

and click on the link provided. I will keep it there until someone tells me to remove it.

PS The file is about 8 MB in size.
