Statements and Certs
 

Have any of the 1Ks out there received a statement for August, or their confirmed upgrade certs for the 2nd quarter of the year (i.e. April, May, June)? I am still waiting.

You want an August statement in August? You won't likely see your August statement til sometime in October.

The most recent I have is the May-June statement. But UA doesn't seem to be giving the confirmable upgrade certs anymore. Just 500 mile booklets.

I don't necessarily want the August statement -- just a statement or an envelope with some domestic certificates in it. Since when did UAL stop sending 1Ks 2 (or 4) confirmable domestic upgrade certs per quarter? I hadn't heard that one. I received mine for the first quarter of this year.

MP Service Center told me the 1K certs that were earned in the second quarter of 1999 were issued on August 11 and should be in the next statement. Whatever that means.

Last week the Mileage Plus CSR told me the May-June statement went out in mid July, with 500-mile certificates included. I haven't received them yet. Maybe that's when United gave them to their contractor for mailing. If so, they may still be sitting in the contracttor's warehouse somewhere, aging.

Update, at least as it applys to my account. Was told today by phone with the MP Service Center that my statement for the period of June 18 - July 16 was "sent out" on August 26 and that I should have it any day now by First Class mail. It is supposed to contain my normal 500 mile certs earned in that period and my four 1K Confirmed North American Upgrade Certificates from the second quarter. We'll see.

I got just a letter from David Coltman on Sept 2 containing my Q2 1K upgrades and all of my earned 500 mile certs. No statement.
