I've found pretty good availability in C on SA within Africa and Europe-Africa. I changed a ticket on 12 times for this past August and never had trouble with getting space on the SA portions. In any event, enjoy!

Just an update: Emailed HKGRES and got an answer within 3 hours - they had found availability for the flights I wanted and created a booking / held it. Great service!

Was the departure in less than 24 hours? If so I think its b/c UA does not ticket partner awards within 24 hours.

1K agent easily award-booked me today on LH DEN-FRA-TLV in C and TLV-FRA-DEN in F. First time that they don't force me to use UA and go via IAD/ORD.

Yesterday I even booked C on NZ1 LHR-LAX. That's one of the original blocked routes.

gleff, color me shocked that you got NZ1. Congrats! I am truly, truly surprised. I think this is great news and hopefully bodes well for the death of Starnet blocking when the mileage programs finally merge.

Tried 3 1K agents who couldn't see availability on any non-stops in any class either day. Wish US had kept BKK part of North Asia for more than 3 days.

And as I mentioned elsewhere - *net blocking no longer seems to apply to LH for DEN-FRA.

NRT-BKK 2 F seats on the TG 77W!
I was initially booked on TG641 (744 but prone to equipment swap) I kept checking ANA awards for 2 F seats to open up on TG677 (77W leased aircraft from Jet Airways with Suites) They opened up today for travel a week from now. I called UA and was able to book them.
