YYZ UAX info

Can anyone provide the following info on YYZ?

1. Flying between IAD - YYZ, what terminal does UAX use in Toronto?
2. Is there a MLL in the terminal from question 1
3. How long are the US Customs lines on Thursday evenings?

Thanks!

If you are talking about the return YYZ-IAD, then you would be able to use the MLL in T1 Transborder prior to departure if you hold RCC membership or are STARGold. However, if you wish to use it upon arrival, you will not be able to as you must proceed directly through Canadian Customs and cannot re-enter the area where the MLL is located (as it is after US Customs Pre-Clearance).

As for crowds at Customs on a Thursday night, it is always variable. You will, however, be using the same customs hall as is used for all in-coming international flights, so keep that in mind. That said, the heaviest arrival times at YYZ are in the early morning when Asian, west coast US red-eyes, Caribbean and SAmerican, and Israeli flights arrive (up to about 9am) along with early morning US inbounds. Then there is a crush in the mid-afternoon when European flights get in between 2p and 4p. It then trails off as US inbounds are pretty evenly distributed. I would not expect large inbounds after 8p, though there might be one wave of late flights between 10p and midnight to contend with.

If you are talking about the return on Thursday evening, after 8p it should be a lot easier to get through the US PreClearance, and most of the time the US Passport line is a lot shorter than the Canadian|non-US line. (There are also three NEXUS kiosks.) Also, if you have an American Express card, there is an express security line you can use after US Pre-clearance.

Yes...it went in about 3-4 months ago I think. It is located after you clear US Immigration and Customs and drop off your checked lugggae. There is some signage and it is in the middle of the wall which has all the doorways thru to the mag and scan stations.
