You can ask, but UA agents have been instructed not to do this since it avoids the starnet filtering UA has implemented.

Need a little more info. As a former TA, the only time a manual sell was used was if a price was stored but later mistakenly deleted by the airlines. It was then necessary to rebuild the itin manually. Is this what you are asking?

It is very difficult, if not impossible, to get United to do a manual sell because of the additional cost to them. I doubt anyone short of a GS would even have a chance.

Manual sell cost extra? Do you mean it cost extra because it bypasses starnet filtering thus costing UA to pay for an award seat or doing manual sell would actually cost more than using starnet?

Exactly. The process itself doesn't cost, but the end result does.

I assume this means you have no trouble getting a manual sell? And I also assume this means you don't wish to impart the information on just how you do it.
