In January of next year. In previous years, United gave the option to have 4 SWUs deposited in November, but it may or may not happen again. Also, if you get 150K EQMs you get 2 extra EQMs which are deposited as soon as you cross the threshold.

just a quick note
I know, old thread - but it's the right place for the post.
Just a quick note to say that UA is still doing this. Just made 1K for the first time. Here's a little history - I'm in San Diego.
Might try to get them to give up a couple SWRs early - gotta be on-track for GS this year at this point. (oh, and 'Hi' - long-time lurker, first time poster) -sdbonez |
Welcome to FT and congrats on the early bump to 1K!

Welcome to flyertalk !
The GS threshold might be lower this year with the economy being down and all. Please let us know how it goes  |

Same thing happened to me last year . . . was shy of 100k EQM, but made 1K in May, and became GS in June.
Note that I had to have my MP # removed and reenetered for all my itineraries made before my status upgrade to reflect my new status. Although people often post that you don't have to do that anymore, that's not my experience. My gf moved up in status about 2 months ago, and the same happened with her. I had to remove/readd her MP # to reflect her new status on itineraries made before the status upgrade. |

On 5/13. Same story. On 5/14 just now, same story. They tried to tell me that reservations 'auto-update' with the status change...but then they said it still showed PR-EXEC. Mileage Plus 1k desk says '1k', reservations says '1k', itinerary says PR-EXEC. last hope is to call tomorrow. Maybe then the '4 day window' referenced in other threads takes hold and it'll actually work... who knows. Open to any other thoughts anyone else wants to share - otherwise, i'm resigned to PR-EXEC for another international trip, I suspect. :( |

If you're a 1K in UA's system, that will be reflected at the airport (red carpet / checkin). I once did online checkin the night before an early morning flight. The next morning, I found out I had a higher status level. Asked a random UA agent to reprint my BP. It had the new status level on it ^ |

Maybe you got a 'manual' status update that isn't picked up by the automatic batch. (I'm guessing here, but it's not impossible that batches are triggered by automated status changes)

What "1K over 1P" benefits do you want ?
Good to hear about not having to re-add the MP, regardless. thanks :) |
In 2008, I flew more miles total than my best friend, but she flew biz class international (about 55K) and was awarded 1K. She had no idea what 1K was, no idea what e-upgrades were, and no idea how to even log on to her United account. Meanwhile, I check my MP account every day for changes and lurk here every day to make sure I'm not missing anything.
Life's so unfair...! :) |
