As Predicted - Mainline OAK-DEN Y no F

Just noticed OAK-DEN for Fall shows A320 mainline flight with Y class only, no F. So its indeed a TED craft rebranded as mainline, but with same config as predicted by some on this site a while back

My condolences to all,

-Cyborg

You can take away TEDs name but you can't take away TEDs planes. RAR!

So there will be no F service on any aircraft out of OAK soon.

So is this the first phasing out of 737s in the schedule?

I wouldn't be so certain about your conclusion. Could be that UA is just being conservative in not knowing how long the reconfigs will take, and therefore is only selling Y for now in case they can't reconfigure in time.

I'm shocked that UA is even keeping OAK. Others are pulling out, and I have to imagine that its cheaper to just consolidate Bay Area flying to SFO.

SJC presence isn't all that great either, and I have to imagine its also on the list of stations that could be let go. SJC really is its own market, kinda like how ONT, SNA and LAX overlap but aren't the same cachement areas, but its not like they have a huge presence there now anyways

Didn't they actually say in the NoTed announcement no reconfigurations until Spring 2009?

Resistance is the reciprocal of conductance.

I doubt it considering UA sells F seats (or at least used to ) for TED only flights...

Flew DEN-SJC last fall and the plane was 90% elites - made me feel small as a 2P basically boarding last ahead of a grandmother and a family of five

SJC makes $$$ for UA, imho

That would be a body blow to a lot of elites who fly from IAD, DEN or ORD to SJC.

As for not a huge presence, neither do US, DL, JetBlue, Frontier, etc. Conceding SJC, would just be giving up ground to those plus SouthWest.
