Yes it was - just can't believe that it is both of my flights that were effected!!

So should there be any sort of compensation from UA on this? I'm only on a mileage award, but still could have just done a 45K award and done F on 2 cabin into EWR.

I'm guessing anybody that actually paid for PS F will be really p***ed.

Seems like a worthwhile reason to ask for a 7.5k mileage refund since you were only upgraded 1 cabin instead of 2.

I would imagine you're entitled to 7.5K RDM -- the difference between 2-cabin and 3-cabin F for one-way.

I am wondering how United would cater a two-cabin 757 in F on a p.s. route ... plain mainline F service? p.s. C service? p.s. F service?

I'm betting PS C since they probably catered 26 of those anyway and there are only 24 seats in two cabin F. Would make the most sense, IMO.

also downgraded to 2 class 757 on 18JAN UA893 JFK-SFO

Just did OLCI for my previously-upgraded PS flight to SFO tomorrow morning. Noticed that I was confirmed in First (row 3) and was thrilled at the mistake (and or the OP-UP). Later I pull up the seat map and noticed that it is going to be a standard 2 class 757.

I've been on ps flights in the past where a 3 class 767 was swapped in, but never this sort of "downgrade". Has anyone flown the 2 class 757 recently on a PS route up front who can tell me what to expect?

Wondering if I should try to force a reservation change, or stick with it and see what serendipity unfolds (or doesn't.)

I'm also doing a PS flight tomorrow, but an equipment swap would only affect my miniscule chances of an op-up (there being plenty of empty seats as of now), since I'm already in E+ anyway.

When this has happend to me, the flights were catered for F (got the F menu), but no DVDs.

YMMV.

Haha, I know, I was pretty sure the Bill of Rights specifically forbade this when they discussed "Cruel and Unusual Punishment".
