Hmmm. With my travel patterns having shifted, I was sad to find myself with only 4,000 EQM for 2007. If anyone is interested in having me as part of their team, please PM me.

OK, actually, I'm not even eligible. It says you have to be 21 or over. Usually it's just 18 or over, wth?

2007= around 110,000 - 115,000 EQM
Actually, after looking at the T&Cs I don't think we would be very good team members.
We will probably not do a great deal (maybe less) EQMs this year than last. No gain from us, sadly.

Does anyone understand this? Is it saying that the team that had the biggest increase will earn 1M RDM's, the second place 50K EQM's, etc, or is it entirely random among the top 50 teams, or does the top team win ALL of it?
Each of the top fifty (50) teams that have the largest year-over-year increase (2008 vs. 2007) in total EQM will earn the following reward divided evenly among its four members: 1,000,000 redeemable Mileage Plus miles, 50,000 Elite Qualifying Miles (EQM), 50 Elite Qualifying Segments (EQS), eight (8) confirmed regional upgrades, and eight (8) United Red Carpet Club one-time passes. The top 50 teams will be notified between January 15th 2009 and January 31, 2009. A team’s year-over-year EQM increase for the purposes of this promotion will be calculated as shown in this example: four members of team ABC had a combined total of 123,000 EQM in 2007. In 2008, team ABC ended the year with a combined total of 168,000 EQM. Team ABC’s year-over-year EQM increase for purposes of this promotion would be 45,000 (168,000-123,000). If this 45,000 year-over-year EQM increase was one of the top 50 team EQM increases for all teams participating in this contest, then team ABC would earn one of the fifty rewards. In the event of a tie, the team with the highest number of total 2008 EQM will be the winner. Proof of eligibility via a signed affidavit will be required of all winning members.
If anyone doesn't know about the age thing I'll write 1Kvoice tonight. If I can participate I promise a 100K EQM increase on UA this year.

Wait...the way I am reading it is that the top 50 teams each get 1m rdm's to split between the four members....right?? I am kinda sleepy right now, maybe I have it wrong!

Lucky - I read that as each of the top 50 teams, get to split those prizes equally among the team members. Gotta say (and it may the very first time I'm saying this about a UA promo) it is a very nice prize

Darn, I would have been a great candidate for this last year, going from 50k EQM to 150k.
But next year, I'm certain to not exceed my 2007 total...

WOW! So basically each team member of one of the top fifty teams gets 250K RDM's, two RCC one time passes, two CR1's, and 12.5K EQM's? NICE!

I would have thought that GS members who have strayed are the best bet. I suspect there are several who after being notified the requalification criteria simply credited the excess to other programs. If they were to start crediting all their flying (and of course it includes *A) to MP there would be some fairly large year on year increases to be seen
