Seating on the Beechcraft 1900?
I (along with a co-worker) have an upcoming trip on a United codeshare Great Lakes Airlines trip. The flight is on a Beechcraft 1900 (oh boy). I've been seeing some contradicting seat maps, though. My co-worker is sitting in 2C, although on both United and our work's online booking tool, only the "A" row of seats appears. The flight is confirmed and set to go, but I'm concerned that she might end up without a seat.
Anybody who has been on the Beechcraft, can you confirm how many rows of seating? Thanks! |
I was just on one yesterday, but on Gulfstream flying within Florida.
The Beech 1900 seats 19 persons, so it has 9 rows. Rows 1-8 have 1 seat on each side of the aisle; Row 9 has three seats, with the middle seat facing right up to the aisle. For the size of the aircraft, it has a surprisingly good amount of headroom. |
Sounds good, thank you for your help!

Isn't that due to the lack of overhead luggage bins? Or am I not remembering correctly. It's been almost 2 years since my last B1900 flight.

Beware that 1A and 1C have no windows, beware that there is limited space under the seats, especially at the exit rows where a hump in the floor pretty much makes the space under the seats disappear, and beware that the best views (if you care about such things) are from rows 7-9, behind the wings/props. Other than that, what a joy to get off a 767, and climb onto one of these things. No cockpit door. Nothing like watching the pilots for the entire flight and being able to sight down the runway when you take off and land. Oh, and it bobs around like a cork in a washing machine...fun or terrifying, depending on your attitude. |
