Seating on the Beechcraft 1900?

I (along with a co-worker) have an upcoming trip on a United codeshare Great Lakes Airlines trip. The flight is on a Beechcraft 1900 (oh boy). I've been seeing some contradicting seat maps, though. My co-worker is sitting in 2C, although on both United and our work's online booking tool, only the "A" row of seats appears. The flight is confirmed and set to go, but I'm concerned that she might end up without a seat.

Anybody who has been on the Beechcraft, can you confirm how many rows of seating? Thanks!

I was just on one yesterday, but on Gulfstream flying within Florida.

The Beech 1900 seats 19 persons, so it has 9 rows. Rows 1-8 have 1 seat on each side of the aisle; Row 9 has three seats, with the middle seat facing right up to the aisle. For the size of the aircraft, it has a surprisingly good amount of headroom.

Sounds good, thank you for your help!

Isn't that due to the lack of overhead luggage bins? Or am I not remembering correctly. It's been almost 2 years since my last B1900 flight.

It's a combination of the lack of overhead bins and the tall, out-of-round fuselage cross section on the 1900D variant (as flown by Great Lakes, Gulfstream, and most other major airline partners).

I fly twice a month on Great Lakes BE-1900s through DEN on UAL, and I have never, ever, gotten anything but the "A" row to show up on the UAL seat map. Until last week, when for some reason, the "C" row also showed up for the first time. Seating usually devolves into "wherever you want", unless the pilots shift people around. Also, last week on my Great Lakes flight, the website was showing no seats available, with seats to be assigned at the airport. I was worried like you are. Turns out they had set up two planes to fly the same flight number, about 10 minutes apart, based on demand. I wouldn't worry about your friend not having a seat.

Beware that 1A and 1C have no windows, beware that there is limited space under the seats, especially at the exit rows where a hump in the floor pretty much makes the space under the seats disappear, and beware that the best views (if you care about such things) are from rows 7-9, behind the wings/props. Other than that, what a joy to get off a 767, and climb onto one of these things. No cockpit door. Nothing like watching the pilots for the entire flight and being able to sight down the runway when you take off and land. Oh, and it bobs around like a cork in a washing machine...fun or terrifying, depending on your attitude.
