I believe the rule is oblique tickets, the name your own price, where you don't know the airline until after purchase, you don't get miles. If you pick the flights/airline you get them

IMHO, that's intent to steal. You're well aware you're not entitled to the miles, and you're just hoping UA will overlook it.

Hotwire Mileage Credit on UA

I recently purchased tickets on Hotwire for a United Flight. The itinerary showed the booking class to be Y and T. United is not crediting me for flight miles even though the website clearly states that these booking classes earn 100% miles. The service rep told me that discounted tickets via hotwire are not credited for miles. Where is that published? I thought as long as my booking class was Y B M H Q V W S T K L E or U, I could earn 100% miles. Am I missing something?

As far as I’m aware Hotwire tickets never get miles.

It should be in the Members' Guide. Only published fares earn miles, and fares offered through opaque channels are not considered published fares.

UA RAP-DEN-BOS-FRA in "S" earn miles??

I looked on Flyer Talk's UAL FAQ section and saw that "S" class doesn't earn miles 'sometimes', I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this class booking and if i'll accumulate miles on this journey?

Thank you

You will absolutely accumulate miles on your S class fare.

Just to confirm, your BOS-FRA is on Lufthansa yes?

Hotwire and Priceline sometimes book in to S class. If that is the case and you did name your own price or something like that you will not earn miles.

Welcome to FlyerTalk!

I've merged your question into a thread that contains similar information; the consensus seems to be that tickets booked through cheaptickets.com often post in to Mileage Plus, but there is no certainty. Good Luck and let us know what your experiences are after the flight!

priceline booking

I know the "name your own price" does not earn any miles.
What if you use Priceline's regular booking tool (I believe it books into S). Would that earn miles and EQM's?
