Why were you compensated and what did you get? [through 2009].

I`ve seen so many threads and questions about people asking about compensations and stuff, so I thought maybe why not start a thread saying what you got at UA. At least we will know what we might get....

I can start to say I received 10000 miles for complaining about the entertainment system in Economy on the 747.
It was on SFO-SYD, SYD-SFO, SFO-LHR. I was 1P and became 1K.

(dear mods...please close or move the thread to another if asked/mentioned earlier)

Tor:)

$175 voucher for broken seat, SFO-ORD (1P Status)

$200 voucher for non-working IFE on IAD-LHR overnight. The whole plane's system was out - everyone got Skykits. My traveling companion chose miles and got 5K miles.

First.. might want to request that folks post their status at time of comp... and are you speaking only of skykits, or of VDB/IDB/etc?

2P, got $150 for no left audio channel from IFE on $143 flight :)

$350 - inop light, bad video - LHR-SFO - 1P

NADA...nothing...I have never received compensation for anything.
At least nothing that I can remember.;)

This is not to say that I enjoy UA's service or dirty airplanes. I guess I just don't want to waste my time complaining to people who don't listen and don't care.

haha you're kidding right? You're a 1K, while they may not ACTUALLY CARE about your complaint itself, they care about potentially losing you as an important customer, therefore will compensate you duly for some of the most minor inconveniences if you write them. They are in fact very responsive and often generous, so I'd certainly reconsider saying you don't want to "waste your time" lol!

Geez, I'm at 0! I must be too tolerant. From now on I will ask for Skykits more often!

My parents (1P and 2P) received 4000 miles each for an inop reading light on a transcon some months back. I taught them to ask for vouchers after that! Last month, my mother (1P) received a $350 voucher for an inop EmPower port on a TATL flight.

Also received a $50 CS voucher (at the gate) on a transon in August, when they moved me from my aisle seat to accomodate a wheelchair-bound CoS.

$125 as a GM when there was an equipment change from A320 to A319 and they ousted me from my paid E+ aisle seat and put me in the middle so some hoity toity frequent flyer :p could have my aisle seat.
