Using miles for United Vacations
 

I can't find the answer to this on United.com: Can you use miles to pay for United Vacations? I'd love to find a way to use miles for the hotel stay as well as the airfare.

"You cannot redeem Mileage Plus miles toward the purchase of a United Vacations' package. If you have earned enough Mileage Plus miles to cash in for a flight, United Vacations suggests that you use your miles towards your flight by calling United Airlines (1-800-241-6522). You can then purchase a land-only vacation through United Vacations. By booking this way, you can take advantage of your earned Mileage Plus miles for your flights and still receive the special rates and value from United Vacations for the land portion of your vacation."

If you have a Chase United Mileage Plus credit card, you can use the Mileage Plus Choices Program to use United Miles for Hotels and Car Rentals.

Thanks for the tip! I do have a milage plus Chase card, although I wasn't aware of this program (not paying attention, I guess). However on checking my balance, I've only got about 50K choice miles/points, which doesn't get many nights in a hotel. But it is certainly better than nothing.
