the game just isn't as fun any more
just a routine day of air travel in the USA...
July 19, 19:00: Easy checkin notification from [email protected] for UA 1503, departing July 20, 19:47
July 19, 21:00 (approximate): PAX AJC1970 completes online checkin for UA 1503, LAS to SFO to home. seats 11A (Ted) and 02D (mainline).
July 20, 12:20: Easy update, UA 1503 departure time revised from 19:47 to 23:25
July 20, 12:20: Easy update, UA 1503 scheduled for 23:25 "on-time" departure!
PAX AJC1970 thoughts: i'm not spending another night stuck in SFO. that just happened because of UA missed connections July 10, night of the all-star game, and it took > 1 hour to find a hotel room, which cost $250+ (marriott near SFO).
July 20, 12:45 (approximate): simultaneously cancel itinerary on UA 1Kall, while booking alternate itinerary online with another airline. 1Kall CSR is extremely happy that i'm choosing to fly another airline... a bit too happy!
July 20, 12:56: Email confirmation from [email protected] that PNR cancelled, full refund to credit card. .bomb confirms PNR no longer shows under "my itineraries," though e500 has not been returned.
July 20, 13:14: Easy update, UA 1503 departure time revised from 23:25 to 23:40
PAX AJC1970 thoughts: ha! no seat 11A/Y+ on Ted, no seat 02D/NF on the connecting flight, but i'm going to make it home tonight, suckers!
