Can you upgrade when booked through United Escapes?
I'm searching fares for flights and car rental for my partner and I for LAX-KOA and am getting a great fare for January travel ($561 air/car for 5 nights). But I can't seem to find anything showing if I can upgrade to F if I purchase through Escapes.
Can I upgrade through "my itineraries" after I purchase through United Escapes? Anyone know?

Yes. Though if you are neurotic you may want to do it all at the same time. I reserved my upgrade with one agent while simultaneously verifying my credit card info with another.
You can also call any UA agent to verify that there is in fact upgrade space for your proposed itinerary prior to hitting the "buy" button on Escapes.

Thanks folks. I booked our trip, got the upgrades with an intermediate car for 5 days for $561 each. AWESOME PRICE!! Especially considering if I had just done the flights alone, they were $677 each.

Though it doesn't apply to your situation, remember when booking flights you want to UG if they are int'l flights, you might need to purchase a higher fare ticket (M,H,B,Y - for example).
