Ticket refund - how long does it take ?
 
I recently bought a fully refundable ticket which I cancelled before departure.

The email from UA confirms the refund and says "...up to 60 days" until it shows up on the credit card account again.

What is your experience in duration of ticket refunds with UA ?

Had a reservation that I cancelled on Sunday. The credit was back on my visa card on Thursday.

Sadly, my expectation is shortly after I call a second time.

It varies from a few day to never. If you do not get a refund in 7 business days file a dispute with your credit card.

Provide prompt ticket refunds
United's Commitment:
We will issue refunds for eligible tickets within seven business days for credit card purchases and within 20 business days for cash purchases in any instance in which refunds are appropriate.

Ticket Refund
 
It took several calls, two certified letters and finally the last call to get a refund on a ticket. Total elapsed time was four months. This was an American Express charged ticket. GOOD LUCK!
