Two or four...
Should be four, but you better bring a printed copy of the rules just in case.

Since many of the "passengers" in the figure quoted were the same passenger traveling multiple times on multiple segments and since those would be most likely to carry the rules, I would say .01% is probably a good ballpark.

Could you give me a link for this rule? Most of time I got zero.

I always bring my MP3 when I travel. It can do digital recording.

Is it illegal to turn the recording on at RCC without matron's approval?

I'm going to be *G with a non *G companion in the IAD RCC on Saturday. I guess I better get a copy of those rules as well!

Or a video camera. This nonsense deserves to be on YouTube. (I've seen previous debates about whether one is allowed to video tape the dragon).

As for the 0.001% (or whatever it is) of passengers who might carry his own copy of the rules... I am going write to United and suggest they provide a copy of the admit profiles at the entrance of all RCCs. I suppose they won't like the idea...

Sorry, I'm not the guy to print the rules and throw a hissy fit over two little coupons that have a combined value of $10-$14.

(I'm sure others will be glad to help you, though.)

Carrying a printed copy of the rules often won't get you very far. United can change its internal policies whenever it sees fit (assuming they are still in line with Star requirements). While I think an agent should consult a relevant profile, I can see how slamming a printed copy of an internal United document wouldn't get you very far in many instances.

Does United have its own security there? What would you have done if the airport police responded instead? Did you have money along for bail?

Nice work, lucky. ^^ Way to stick up for yourself.

Well, I am not looking forward to moving to DC in 6 months if this is how UA treats people in one of their hubs' RCC.

But, after living in oneworld territory for a year, I think I will focus back on the *A once in DC.

Well, if lucky ended up in the DC jail, this story would show up in USA Today.

At minimum, UA would need to give him a free RTW tix in F.

Way to go Lucky. I hope when you return you write to WHQ. I can't believe they were going to call security on a 1K -- this person needs to be fired. Hope you got a name.
