United Computer Fantasy

United Computer Fantasy

Wouldn’t it be neat to be able to login on the United computer and see your “Permanent Record”? See how many different elites on your flight. Any others?

To keep this Fantasy Post within reason, you are not allowed to change anything. I’m afraid that too many people here would show their dark side come out and be mischievous.

Wouldn't it be neat to be able to buy a plane ticket online without problems? ;)

grayland May 19, 2007 2:24 pm

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to see all flights available?;)

Wouldn't it be neat if a virus attacked the site forcing UA to hire REAL programmers capable of making a reliable website like every other airline has in the world?

UNITED959 May 19, 2007 3:31 pm

I'd like to be able to see the names and seniority dates of flight crews -- so I know if I should bring peanut brittle as a present or Poligrip & Depends. :D

warreng24 May 19, 2007 3:36 pm

Wouldn't it be nice if you could press a button on ual.com and instantly convert all (or some) of your 500 mile e-upgrades into redeemable miles? :D

The ability to acknowledge schedule changes on-line instead of having to call!

I just wish they would get their website right! Enough with the AJAX and "Web 2.0" attempts here. Obviously the united.com developers are driving the site without proper user acceptance feedback.

There was an error in processing your request. Please see the message below for instructions.

We are unable to retrieve flight information at this time. Please try again later.

Why don't they just change this message to

There was an error in processing your request. Please see the message below for instructions.

There is no point in you wasting your time trying again later because we will never be able to process your request.

At least it would be honest.

Wouldn't it be nice if the availability shown in expert mode is reflected when you try to book the ticket? (instead of it booking into L9, it decides to book into Q??)

No way. They wouldn't notice that there's any virus. On the other hand, who knows, virus may improve the .bomb. ;)

Wouldn't it be nice if they had an award availability grid just like they do over at AAmerican.

It would be nice if UA could hire programmers that had a clue......and then management above them that had a clue what the customer wants/needs.....and then ".bomb" changed from the bad definition to the better slang one......

Somebody pinch me....

hawkxp May 19, 2007 10:35 pm

Now, Now We are not talking about .bomb. We are talking aboiut access to the same computer that the GA, RCC, RESV. and Glenn have access to.
