Is this offer legit?

Got an e-mail from [email protected]

Has anyone else gotten this? Is it legit?

I wouldn't respond unless I knew from others that this one was legit.

Even if this is legit 15 minutes for 1000 miles doesn't seem worth it. The general rule (as I am sure you are aware) is be wary of any unsolicited email from a source you do not trust. Even hitting the unsubscribe button is a mistake.

Agreed. Usually they go right to the trash bin, and this one is no exception.

Eh, a scammer wouldn't try to insult you with 1000 miles. ;)

A scammer would offer you 10 or 20k miles.

BTW, burke.com is a legitimate company that hosts a lot of surveys. Through other survey portals, I've taken many a survey hosted by Burke (on a wide variety of topics). I would tend to trust this email. I doubt a scammer would pay Burke's fees just to get at your MP account, although ya never know... but as I said, I would probably trust it just from previous experience with burke.com surveys.

An intelligent scammer would know that's a dead giveaway. 1,000 is at least realistic.

I wouldn't do it either. Just out of curiosity, move the mouse over the link and check where the link goes to. I fit is a IP no get the hell out of it.
Also 1000miles for some more info about you and most likly some more email you don't need?
I follow fzwinter on this one, good for the bin. Better take no risks.

Even if legit, I wouldn't waste my time. Ever since I bit on a similar offer from Amex and, after spending fifteen minutes filling out the questionaire, got a screen that told me I was not qualified for the promised miles, I just hit delete. :td:

FWIW I just got an invitation to this survey directly from Mileage Plus. I received an email from "United Mileage Plus" with subject "United Mileage Plus wants your feedback." The link inside was to mymileageplus.com and redirected to this survey.

So, the offer IS legit, as I suspected in my previous post.

I too received the same email as cepheid...coming directly from Mileage plus. Although its odd because I don't have a United Business Visa so I didn't qualify to participate.

At any rate, just chiming in my .02 that it appears legit.
