Most stupidest words uttered by UA employees

Yesterday, CS counter agent in SFO: "There's no Economy Plus section on our 747s."

The employee clearly shows a lack of product knowledge.

PS, you need a huge grammar check on your thread title.

Ouch, amazing! Out of curiosity, in what context was it mentioned? The 747 definitely has the worst E+ in the fleet, but it's definitely there.

Family sans me traveling SFO-HKG-SGN.

Me: (paraphrased) "Hi, my mom and my aunt are flying SFO-HKG-SGN today. My mom is a 2P, and they already have E+ seats to HKG, but I'd like to get them E+ seats on the HKG-SGN segment." (present BPs, most of which are gold).

Talk about a swing and a miss.

GA in DEN today invited first class passengers to board first on a regional jet with no first class (or E+).

Gate agent that made a PA announcement for a "TEE EEE DEE" (spelled out the letters) flight instead of saying Ted. She did it a few times.

I can't tell you how many Trans States FAs spell out Ted ("TEE EEE DEE") during the spiel about the Mileage Plus program and earning miles for the flight.

"Most stupidest" would be my vote in the "words uttered" department.

For more than a decade, my absolute favorite is the announcement at the UX gates at A-then-G-then-back-to-A gates at IAD:

"This is the last and final call for United Express Flight WXYZ to Stupidville."

Perhaps someone can explain to me the difference between "last" and "final."

My theory is that global warming is mainly due to verbal redundancy.

Your example is a grammatical mistake, and the example you're pointing out is a content error. They're not even in the same league.

You might want to look up the definition of "ironic"...
