IAD-BRU a 777 in Oct.

Time to check your seats :) . The airplane that was flying HNL-KIX will be flying IAD-BRU in October, currently only for that month.

YES! I'm on UA 950 ORD -> IAD every week. I was wondering when they were going to move back to a 777 from the 767 we enjoy so much right now

Haven't seen the 777 on this route in some time.

Or ... could this be an indication of 763s cycling out of service for the much-anticipated F and C cabin upgrades?

Makes sense...since it's only for 1 month.

I thought the same thing but I'm told the a/c will be flying in the domestic system.

This is interesting. The plane may be too big for the typical passenger demand in October, but it appears to be just a short period substitution.

... and you are only 1P for flying transatlantic every week.

Time to file missing mile forms.

OP said he's on ORD-IAD every week, though its the same flight number etc. for that Brussels flight, so he's only earning his 589 each way.

dimramon Apr 11, 07 1:42 am

I've been hoping for a 777 on this route. Too bad it's only for one month. CO has a 777 on that route, UA should do it too.

SFO_Runner Apr 11, 07 1:46 am

Ah yes, over capacity at it's greatest.

We'll be flooded with "poor man's first in Y (i.e. an empty row of 5 seats) or use my SWU for a non-flat C seat" threads. :td: :p

I am going to Brussels the second half of this year. Hopefully it will be in the same period when the 777 is servicing this route.

Yes, you are right. I couldn't read.:o
Remark deleted.

Anyone know how the cargo loads are to BRU? I am thinking that may be a reason as well, since low loads are typically not desirable by airlines.;)

rch4u Apr 11, 07 6:17 am

The 777 operates ORD-IAD-BRU as UA 950 but only BRU-IAD as 951. What gives?

Where do you see this? I was looking at an October date and see UA 951 IAD-ORD on a 3-class 767.

Like he said, he does not see it on the 777.;)
