United.com trip templates?
been struggling to add a trip template to my list of intineries....but can't find the option to add one. Can see my list of existing templates - anyone got any ideas how to add a new one?

united.com FAQs
I can not find out how to access the trip templates even after a) reading the instructions and b) having figured out last year how to use them. Can anyone explain it more clearly than the United.com FAQ?
What is a trip template and how do I build one? The trip template feature allows you to save city-pair flight searches and come back to book them at a later date. The trip template will store your city pairs, preferred flights/times of travel, preferred car and hotel partner and usual length of stay. You can retrieve your template from My trip templates. To save a new template, click Save this itinerary as a trip template from the Review page, just before you click Continue to purchase. You may also click Create new template from My trip templates. http://www.united.com/page/article/1,,51896,00.html |
Which part are you having trouble with? There's not much else to say about saving them, and to use them, you'll find My trip templates under the Planning & Booking tab.

Thanks mahasamatman! Indeed there they are:
Main navigation bar/Planning & Booking/My trip templates. How about the saving from within flight reservation, where is a "Save your itinerary" button exactly? I don't see it on "Review itinerary" page, or any page. |

Note that for using it, there's also a "Select trip template" pulldown on the initial search page. |
Where is it exactly?!

When I try, it's at the bottom of the "Review itinerary" page, under Save this itinerary as a trip template, just before you select seats.
On the "Review itinerary" page, there's a blue box called "Passenger information." Sections include: -Passenger information -Phone number -EasyUpdate contact information and then a blue button "Select seats>>>" bottom right corner of box. Note: Mahasamatman, if I am being completely blind I apologize! but if not (it's super hard to find or there's a bug preventing its display under some conditions) we'll be helping other people too. |

I see no such button or hyperlink, either in Firefox or Safari; I'm definitely logged in. Where exactly?

Lo and Behold
Thank you for the screenshot; mine is definitely not there.
I tried logging in as Mr. BonnieSEA, and there it is. For some reason the template option does not show up in browser when logged in as me. The code is missing from the HTML when I "View Source" – that would suggest a bug. (or "Feature!") No wonder we see the occasional mournful post ~How do you do trip template?~ !! Code:
