Stranded Planes
 

Just curious if anyone knows - with the notice UA had that this storm was coming, how many/what type of planes did they decide/have to leave stranded in DEN?

We're getting some really cool and very rare helicopter overflights on 9 News right now, right over DIA, so if they overfly terminal B I'll take a look and let you know that UA metal I see.

Look for equipment to be scattered all over the system, not just in DEN. Yesterday afternoon in Austin, TX, a spare UA narrowbody (I think it was a 737, couldn't quite tell from the obscured view) was parked in a distant part of the tarmac where they sometimes overnight aircraft. The nine AM DEN flight was cancelled. Probably the same equipment.
