Regular 757 Coach Seating Question

What is better 9A the window/ at the entrance door or an aisle in row 15 or 16 emergency exit rows? Seat Guru says 9A could be a good/bad seat.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

9A is partly blocked at your feet by the slide, however I don't find it that much of a problem. The other thing I don't like about 9A-9C is that if you board early all the other passengers have to come by you and many people don't show any regard for who their bag might hit on the way in. Row 16 is great, given those choices I would take 16C-16D. My favorite seat in E+ on the 757 is 9D btw.

Much agree with TechGeek. People are quite ignorant of their space. If you're in 9C, expect your foot to be stepped on multiple times, bags will hit you, jackets will fly in your face, etc. If you do get 9A-C, board early and just stand for a while near row 8.

they are great seats, both sides A&F, but if you don't like the cold, you can get cold on long flights because of the door, also it you board late, the overheads fill up quick, usually the FA's will put your stuff in F cabin most of the time if there is room. C&D are fine if you don't mind getting hit by the pax coming on board and or the drink carts.

as the other poster stated row 16 is the best

I would take the overwing exit rows if you aren't in a rush or anything. baggage storage is also easier back there.

9A/C are the best seats on the plane. So much room that window (and middle) can get out without bothering the aisle at all. Just make sure you have thick socks on (it can be cold).

Board first, stow your OHB luggage, and then hang out in the Jetway or go for a cockpit visit (if available) would be my advice. You don't want to be in those seats until the last pax has boarded.

I love getting off the plane first, especially helpful during tight connections, so my vote is for 9a-c.

The over the wing exit rows are nice, but the wait... And I always feel bad about reclining right into the person in regular Y.

Thanks for all the great pointers. I booked 9D on the outbond and 16 on the return. I didnt know about the slide in 9A.

Isn't anybody going to tell him about 8D &E?

Yeah, 8E is a "middle seat", so just leave it alone--for the rest of us! ;)

I prefer not to trip the FA while they are preparing the drink cart. ;)

I prefer 16 over 9 (although 8 D or E aren't bad) because I like to store things I need on the flight under the seat in front of me. 9As great for legroom but the slide cut-out is a little bit annoying.

My 2c

9D For Me

I agree that row 16 is great as well as 8 D,E. My main reason for 9D is the the tray table comes down fron the seat in front of you (8C) were the other seats all have the tray table in the arm rest, which I do not prefer. In addtion row 8 and 9(ABCF) have no seat in front of you to stow things.

i agree with all the comments both +/- regarding seat 9c and when i would sit in it, i would ask the f/a in charge of boarding (right in front of you), if i could stand by by row 8 and/or close to the galley until most have boarded "to save my toes" and i was never "turned down".
